Weekly Video Update – 10/03/14

Hi there, Lon Naylor with this week’s video tips, tricks and resources!

From the Blog…

PlaceIt Graphics and Video Clip Creator

We’re seeing a LOT of online tools for video creators to create custom images and other assets for video projects. Here’s an interesting one called PlaceIt.

Quick Posts from YouTube WITH Transcriptions

If you know me, you know I am NOT a fan of lazy, do-nothing, game-the-system fads & gimmicks like… article spinning.

But here’s a tool and some ideas on using it to actually make things easier to leverage YouTube video content.

==> Article Buddy Pro for YouTube Videos

Watch the demo on this page and think about these uses:

  1. Video scripts made from other people’s videos to give you ideas to make your own videos from.
  2. Post someone else’s YouTube video right to your blog WITH a closed caption transcript for excellent SEO juice. Here’s a sample that took me like TWO minutes of editing:
  3. Run it on your OWN YouTube video to create text content you can leverage into posts, reports, articles, etc. – NOTE: You will have to tweak these… but it’s WAY better than having them transcribed from scratch.

That’s just off the top of my head.

It’s a Dime Sale so grab it fast… ask questions (or refund) later.

Resource of the Week

A lot of folks struggle with the technical “website” stuff for their online presence & business.

Here’s a really nifty plugin & theme that makes it super simple:

==> Profit Builder System

We use OptimizePress, LeadPages, Easy Video Suite and PressPlay just to name a few. Whew!

If you don’t have all that stuff and/or are searching for something easy to build sites? This is pretty sweet and a TON cheaper.

Creating great looking pages for your videos is super important. The more I use this tool, the more I like it!

So that’s it for this week. See you next time!

5 Fresh Content Marketing Ideas for Videos

The original title of this blog post over at is “5 Fresh Content Marketing Ideas for Presentations” but as I was reading through the article, I thought substituting the word videos or screencasts worked equally well. So head on over to learn how to significantly enhance your marketing strategy using both your videos and/or the slides or screenshots from those videos.

Did you know that and eBay sell more videos and DVDs than all other online sources AND sell more than any offline retailer?

Weekly Video Update – 10/24/14

Hi there, it’s Michelle this week.

Hope you are having a great weekend. It’s been super busy around here. I’ve been working on another software demo for UPS and learning more about using markers and closed captions in Camtasia. Lon is pretty psyched up about Podcasting and Mobile Video so we have lots of fun stuff to share with you this week.

From the Blog…

Mobile Video Strategies For Screencasters

When it comes to planning your video strategy, it’s important to keep an eye on the trends in both technology and society.

Huge shifts in what we do as video creators, educators and marketers occur when technology and society collide.

In this strategy report, Lon Naylor collects some of his recent thoughts from the Learn Camtasia Weekly Screencast Video Coaching sessions where his hot button topics are:

Quick Tip

Did you know you can use the “Markers” in Camtasia for more than just generating a Table of Contents? In my recent client project, I have been using the markers extensively for writing notes to myself about changes and additions to the videos. It’s a lot more efficient than trying to read my notes on a scratchpad.

Try it. While in your Camtasia project just click the “M” button on your keyboard and the marker track will appear.  Then, type in a note to yourself of any length. It really helps jar your memory of things you want to cut out or change later on.

You Should Be Doing Webinars

The first time I used Camtasia was to record and edit a webinar for a friend. I didn’t really know what I was doing but after some practice I was making a pretty decent monthly income helping clients set up, and then recording and uploading, their webinars.

Now, three or four hundred webinars later I think it’s time to pass on what I’ve learned.

So if you have an interest in delivering your own online presentations or learning how to help others set them up, I’ll be offering a “Webinar Mastery Bootcamp” starting after Thanksgiving.

Save the date on November the 19th at 8 pm EST… you can learn more about why you (if you’re an Internet Marketer) should be doing webinars and why you (if you’re a Virtual Assistant) should start offering this service.

Look for a registration invitation in our next newsletter.

So that’s it for this week. See you next time!

Quick Tip

Did you know you can upload your Camtasia videos to Google Drive and share them?

Here’s a sample:

Try it and play around with some of the features for sharing, file conversion, embedding, etc. In fact, if you are reading this email in GMail, you will probably see the video at the bottom of this message automatically. 😉

Rumor Has It…

That top video creators and marketers Lon Naylor & Joey Xoto are working on a new project…

Joey is the geeky looking professor on the left. I’m the laid-back Camtasia dude on the right.
